At Tender Loving Care Disability Services, we believe every participant has a story worth sharing. Ellie Rose’s journey is a powerful example of resilience, confidence, and the freedom that comes from being true to yourself.
Discovering Who She Is
Ellie Rose lives with epilepsy, ADHD, learning difficulties and dyspraxia, but she embraces who she is with pride.
“I am who I am and that doesn’t bother me,” she says with confidence.
Before connecting with Tender Loving Care, Ellie Rose faced bullying at school. She remembers classmates running away from her and making her feel excluded. For many, such experiences leave lasting scars. But Ellie Rose has learned to look past the negativity, sharing her advice to others who may be bullied: walk away, do not pay attention, and it gets better.
Finding Joy in Movement
Today, Ellie Rose fills her days with movement, laughter, and fun. She loves dancing, kickboxing, yoga, and skating. Skating, she says, gives her the freedom of being out in the open air. Sometimes, she even takes her dog along for the ride on the skateboard.
Dance is especially close to her heart. Whether it is salsa, jazz or hip hop, dancing with others gives her a sense of excitement, connection, and joy.
“I get to see my friends, go out, and do things that I don’t get to do at home,” she explains.
Building Confidence with Tender Loving Care
Ellie Rose is thriving with the support of Tender Loving Care Disability Services. “They’re loving, they’re caring, they help with your confidence and build more skills,” she shares. With new opportunities, she has discovered the ability to make her own choices, step out of her comfort zone, and live life on her own terms.
For Ellie Rose, it is no longer about what others think she cannot do. It is about what she knows she can achieve.
A Message of Inspiration
Ellie Rose’s message is clear: Be who you are, have fun, and do not worry about the bullies out there. Do what you want to.
At Tender Loving Care, we are proud to support participants like Ellie Rose who show that confidence, joy, and resilience can change lives.
